Location
Haryana is typically located in the historically significant Kuru region which is located in North India. This particular state is a bordering state to Punjab as well as Himachal Pradesh in the north and also to Rajasthan in the North West. It is also called the Rani Ka Talab by the local community because The Talab here was specifically built so that the queen of Jind can take up a bath.
Damdama Lake: well this can be ideal place for you if you are planning to enjoy nature’s beauty and quiet. Situated at just 45 km from Dhaula Kuan Delhi it is only a2 hrs drive from the I.T.O Delhi. The lake is typically formed in a depression in the Aravalli hills where you can enjoy some boat rides and also do a small picnic amidst the immense natural beauty of the place with flowing clear water on the background.

You can reach this particular place mainly with the help of three means the air, the road or the railways.

Best time to visit
Usually the place is too hot in the summer months of May June and too cold in the winter especially in December January. If you plan to go there in summer then be prepared to face the scorching heat as the temperature may rise up to 50 degrees but in winter it truly falls down and go as low as 1 degree. In the Monsoon also there can be floods in the state due to heavy rainfall. So the best time to visit this amazing state is mainly between the months of September and November.
History
The place truly holds an immense historical significance. It was the place where the great Vedic civilization once flourished. It was the place where the great war of Mahabharata was fought in Kuruksketra and also the empire of King Harshayavadhana. Even King Prithviraj Chouhan had built a fort in the region. The famous battle of Panipath proudly took place near the city of Panipath situated in the state of Haryana. Later this state held a great significance in the Indian Independence movement. Even the people of the state fought the British government with ultimate courage in the British period of Indian history. The state truly provided one of the many leaders of independence movement of India.
Climate
Well the climate of this place is almost like most of the other parts of the northern regions of India to hot in summer and too cold in winter. The state is surrounded with Hilly regions. This is why the rainfall in Shivalik regions is the maximum whereas the Aravalli region is really dry even in the months of monsoon. Though the rainfall varies greatly according to regions but almost 80% of heavy rainfall occurs in the time of monsoon and it usually causes a lot of floods in the area.
